Barona Acquires Argenta – Two Players in the HR Business Unite

Barona has purchased 90 % of Argenta’s stock on 1st of March 2015. After the acquisition, Barona Group now employs 5 000 employees monthly worldwide. The combined turnover of the companies in 2014 was 190 million euros.

 

Barona Group consists of Barona – human resource services and service solutions, Momentous – executive search services, Forenom – accommodation services and Saranen Consulting – recruitment training programs and outplacement services.

 

Barona provides services in several different branches and the acquisition strengthens Barona’s customer service- and sales-focused business operations. Together Barona and Argenta are able to meet clients’ business demands more effectively, flexibly and expertly. Service offerings are strengthened especially in regards to customer service and sales oriented human resources services and service solutions.

 

As a result of the acquisition, Argenta’s service center located in Spain with its approximately 100 employees as well as Argenta’s 1100 customer service and sales professionals employed in Finland will join Barona. Argenta will remain an independent legal company for the time being, and the acquisition does not affect the employment terms and conditions of Barona’s or Argenta’s employees.

 

Through the acquisition Barona is better equipped to meet changing clients’ needs.

 

Trends in the customer service sector are strongly focused on the digitalization of services and the consequent changes in customer behavior. Majority of the transactions and communications are moving to digital channels and there is a growing need to expand service times to evening and night time: customers want to do business in a way they find comfortable, whenever is convenient for them. Through digitalization, geographical borders become irrelevant in the digital customer service environment and this creates pressure to deliver services in various different languages.
