Application Support Specialist

Currently for our Nordic Client we are looking for the experienced Application Support Specialist to join the Gdynia team.  The company is the leading international capital markets operator and investment banking partner in the Nordic and Baltic Sea regions

Job Description:

Application Support is responsible for handling all processes connected to deployment, release management, configuration, support and monitoring of the specific applications in the Application Support portfolio.

Application Production will together with Developers and IT Analysts ensure that the applications are maintained and supported in the most efficient way.

Work tasks:

  • Deliver according to quality, Nordea standards and timeliness to fulfil business requirements
  • Daily operation:
    • Drive Incident / problem follow up. Including sending MIR messages
    • 1st/ 2nd line support (single point of contact for Business)
    • Incidents and problems – investigate and provide input for developers solving the issues
    • Handling vendor relationship in relation to bug lifecycle management.
    • Develop, configure and set-up monitoring solutions for each application for pro- active application monitoring.
    • Managing data in production environments in case of incidents.
    • Monitoring – developing, configuring and executing the monitoring including start/stop and restart application processes
  • Development support:
    • Participate in application strategy planning process together with Development and application owner.
    • Support Projects and Developers in infrastructure related activities.
    • Participate in Developments Scrum planning and retrospective meetings.
  • Deployment:
    • Be responsible for handling all deployment
    • Deployment to production environments including configuration of the system for the production environment.
    • Change management coordination
    • Release and Configuration management
    • Deployment automation.
    • Plan release of vendor software and coordinate it with Development.
  • Test and Q&A:
    • Testing in pre-production environments and managing data in non- production environments
    • Responsible for managing test cases including those used in an automated tool
    • Responsible for business sign off where applicable.

Additional requirements:

  • Fluent English
  • Readiness for business trips
  • Readiness to cover 6:00-16:00 support as a team (shifts, home office for morning support possible)
