Financial Application specialist

Currently for our Nordic Client we are looking for the experienced Financial Application Specialist to join the Gdynia team.  The company is the leading international capital markets operator and investment banking partner in the Nordic and Baltic Sea regions

You will be part of a team consisting of skilled specialists with experience in a wide range of IT disciplines. The team’s main task is to collect and distribute real-time market data in low-latency systems. The team also supports the largest trading floor in the Nordic region.

Your primary tasks will be to manage, maintain and develop one of our market data systems. This will require collaboration with customers and suppliers – internal and external. You will manage minor projects on your own and participate in improving the use of our tools for monitoring, documentation and infrastructure.

Your key areas of responsibility:

  • Operation of markets data systems
  • Support of internal customers
  • Contact with external suppliers
  • Documentation
  • Monitoring


It is a requirement that you have:

  • In-depth expertise with TREP from ThomsonReuters or In-depth expertise with ONETICK from OneMarketsData
  • In-depth expertise with Linux
  • Experience with Windows, scripting and Java programming
  • Knowledge of ITIL, databases, virtualization and networks
  • Understanding of IT security
  • Experience with products from Bloomberg or Thomson Reuters is a major advantage
  • Fluent English
  • Readiness for business trips

About you:

We imagine that you have been working with IT operations for a couple of years and that you have dealt with many different technologies. You know your way around large IT installations and you are familiar with the challenge of handling operations and being part of a project simultaneously. You understand business needs and can communicate complex matters. You are enterprising, self-motivated and have the will to follow your tasks through to completion. You are a team player with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
